In Miaoli county, live the Hakka people. Tourists from Guangdong province were met with an enthusiastic embrace as they arrived.
Flowered tea was prepared for the guests. Hakka girls sang the tunes sung by harvesters, while they pick tea leaves. Many people of Guangdong have their roots in the Hakka. So for them, the visit was like returning home.
At Yuanxiong Ocean Park, often called the largest and most beautiful on the Pacific Ocean, tourists from Jiangsu enjoyed a feast that included a main serving of Manbo fish.

Tourists from Fujian came to Taipei's Yangmingshan park to view the splendor of the volcano. Yangmingshan park with its highest altitude four hundred meters above sea level, offers vistas of ancient volcanos, green valleys, hot spring and waterfalls.
This first mainland tourist group will spend ten days in Taiwan. The group's visit is at the mid way point.
