The cell phone movie "Secrets of a Female Students' Dorm" drew 60-million clicks on its web site last year. The flick's director Zhang Xiaole - exploiting his success has released a sequel. It's a continuation of the light and humorous style of the original.

The sequel to "Secrets of a Female Students' Dorm" extends for seven hundred minutes. It's divided into 240 episodes. That's less than three minutes per episode. It tracks the lives of college students born in the late 1980's. It reveals their attitudes towards love, money, social status and sex.
Director Zhang Xiaole says the main qualities of the series come through "mixing". There are mixes of Oriental and Western culture, and sometimes they clash. There are more dualities - traditional versus modern; taste versus money, love and sex. The film series presents different attitudes among youngsters towards the main issues of their lives. The stories are about four heroines who live in a college dormitory.
The cell phone film series can be downloaded through web sites. 60-million net surfers visited the site of the firs movie. Its popularity among youngsters comes from its convincing, humorous portrayal of the lives of today's students.
Actresses Niu Mengmeng, Peng Dan and Wang Jing were on hand at the release ceremony for the sequel.
