With Army Day just around the corner, a string of activities are currently unfolding across the country. In Beijing, some of China's best musicians paid tribute to the country's soldiers.

A concert series in the Chinese capital concluded Monday after eight consecutive days. The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary on August 1st of the establishment of the People's Liberation Army, China's army.
