Special Report: 2007 Spring FestivalBEIJING, Jan. 29 -- A familiar string of the popular CCTV hosts will again to emcee the Spring Festival Celebration show in 2007, the chief director of the ceremony confirmed.
According to Xinhuanet.com, Director Jin Yue said that six hosts, including Zhu Jun, Zhou Tao, Li Yong, Dong Qing, Zhang Zequn and Liu Fangfei, all of whom emceed the ceremony last year, will again appear on the eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year-falling on Feb 17 this year.
Jin made the announcement in response to a series of suggestions on the internet that a great change was to be made in the host lineup.
The director revealed that the schedule for this year's ceremony has neared completion, adding that a small part of the list still needs revision.
He is sure the famous comic Feng Gong will perform in the celebration, though Guo Degang, a favorite Beijing cross talk performer, is expected to be absent. Pop diva Faye Wong is also unlikely to attend since giving birth to a baby daughter.
