Sino-US cooperation in economy and in slowing global warming were the main topics in Premier Wen Jiabao's meeting with US Energy Secretary, Steven Chu, and Commerce Secretary, Gary Locke.
Premier Wen said the two sides discussed coordination in tackling the financial crisis, climate change and the fight against terrorism.
He said such cooperation boosts bilateral ties and offers favorable conditions for the two nations' future cooperation.
Wen Jiabao added that working together in trade and energy is necessary to promote the sustainable development of the two countries' economies. And he called for the two sides to increase dialogue and deal with the divergence of views on the basis of mutual benefit.
The US side said Sino-American ties are essential And the US is willing to strengthen cooperation with China on the economy, trade and slowing global warming, to promote a sustainable global development.
