People's lives not affected by riot in other parts of Xinjiang

In other parts of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, people's lives have not been affected by the Urumqi riot. Transport systems are running as usual and vendors say there is a steady flow of customers.

On Sunday over 200 buses passed through the station with  more than 5000 people on board on their way to Urumqi,  and other cities in the Autonomous Region.

Kashgar Passenger Station manager Amet said, "Over the past few days, normal operations have not interrupted. We sent 216 buses to take more than 3,500 students of various ethnic backgrounds back home."

This bazzar in the city of Asku usually gets crowded on Sunday.

A vender from Sichuan said rent here is low, vendors help each other out, and customer flow has been steady.

It is mid summer now but construction teams in Luopu county are still repairing roads in rural areas .

They say their time there has been made much easier by the hospitable local villagers.
