Tourists coming from flu-hit countries who have been in town for less than a week will be dissuaded from taking the one-day tour of Beijing. This is just one of the measures that the Beijing Tourism Administration Bureau has put in place recently to fight the A/H1N1 virus.

The Bureau has demanded that all travel agencies in the capital explain the municipal disease control and preventive measures to tourists from flu-affected areas. The basic contact information of the tourists will also be registered. Travel agencies are now required to limit the number of passengers on the tour buses, and keep the windows open during the drive.
