The 8th astronaut camp for youths has opened in Beijing's space flight center. A group of children from Hong Kong are also in the camp as they all dream of perhaps one day travelling in space.

An exciting moment for young space fans. In the next few days, 30 children from Hong Kong, and 10 kids from the Chinese mainland will live in the space city. All of them have the same dream.

Wu Huixia, camp participant, said, "It is a wonderful moment, I want to take pictures of all this with my camera."

Chen Jingzhang, camp participant, said, "My country's aeronautics industry has been moving forward quickly in recent years, and I'm so proud that my country is getting stronger and stronger."

5 Chinese astronauts, including Yang Liwei, the first Chinese citizen who went to space, attended the camp's opening ceremony. The space heroes encouraged the children to follow their ambitions.

Yang Liwei, from China Astronaut Research and Training Center, said, "I hope this kind of event will help encourage children to pursue their dreams.I hope they will contribute to the country's aeronautical industry when they grow up"

In the next 6 days, the children will tour around the space flight center and National Astronomical Observatories. And they will also have a chance to experience parts of the training of real astronauts.
