Assistant finance minister of China, Zhu Guangyao, told CCTV that the global economic recession still has a long way to go to reach a full recovery. He also urges the US to keep the dollar stable so as to reassure dollar-asset holders like China.

Zhu Guangyao, Assistant Minister of Chinese Ministry of Finance said "The Chinese government is a responsible government. First of all, we have a responsibility to our own people. So we are concerned about the security of our assets in the US. We hope that the US economy will recover and be stable, and that its financial market remains steady. We also hope the value of the US dollar, as a global reserve currency, will stay stable. All this will help us keep our assets in the US secure."
