China-US dialogue to boost coop. on economic issues

The economic dialogue within the framework of the first China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogues will be held against the backdrop of the continuing global financial crisis and uncertainties in the global economy.

The theme of the meeting is "Build Up Confidence for Resuming Economic Growth, Strengthen China-US Economic Cooperation." Under the theme, the two sides will hold talks on strengthening bilateral understanding, cooperation on important economic issues and policies and measures for fighting the financial crisis.

The two sides will also hold talks on sustainable economic growth, reform of the financial system and trade and investment cooperation.
