Spotlight shines on S&E Dialogue

The new mechanism of China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogues was jointly launched by Chinese President Hu Jintao and US President Barack Obama during their meeting in London in April.

An array of strategic and economic issues will be discussed over the next two days.

The Chinese delegation is headed by Vice Premier, Wang Qishan, and State Councilor, Dai Bingguo. The US delegation is headed by Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, and Treasury Secretary,Timothy Geithner.

Dai Bingguo and Clinton will co-chair the "Strategic Track" of the dialogues. And Wang Qishan and Geithner will co-chair the "Economic Track."

US President, Barack Obama, will address the opening session, and meet with the Chinese delegation after the dialogues.
