Eight mainland TV manufacturers will purchase two billion US dollars worth of TV display boards in Taiwan next month. Their purchasing trip is part of the government program to boost the sale of home appliances in rural areas.
Organized by the mainland's electronic video association, eight TV manufacturers, including Hisense, Haier, Skyworth, Konka, TCL, and Panda will take part in the one-week trip starting from June the 1st. It is also the first time mainland TV firms have made a large purchase in Taiwan.
As the island's electronics producers have taken fifty percent of mainland's market share in Television sales, mainland enterprises also hope to talk with their Taiwan counterparts about long-term deals and unified TV display standards. The trip is expected to benefit the market and product development for both sides.
