The European Commission's ambassador to China, Serge Abou, says the EU hopes China will consider the role of currencies other than the US, especially euro, when making currency policies.
Abou also says European firms in China have adjusted their investments to deal with the crisis, but they haven't closed operations or withdrawn from the market. He praised China policies in loosening credit, but expressed concern on the quality of loans and on Chinese foreign exchange policies.
