China has also tightened inspection for pig farms. All vehicles entering and leaving this farm in Zhejiang province are being disinfected. Farmers say they won't bring in live pigs from the Americas, to ensure safety.
Inspection has also been strengthened at meat markets. Although many people are still buying pork, most choose to buy only at large supermarkets. Officials in Guangdong and Zhejiang provinces say there are no imported pork products on sale in local markets.
