Special Report:   Global Financial Crisis

China's economy has hit the bottom in the first quarter of 2009 according to a report by CCB International, an investment arm of China Construction Bank.

The report says China's gross domestic product rose by 6.5 percent year on year during the first quarter, and GDP growth for the whole year is estimated to reach 7.5 percent.

The report also says growing deflationary pressure means there is more room for the central bank to make further interest rate cuts.
