Argentina's central bank governor, Martin Redrado, says the country supports a proposal by China to reform the international reserve currency system. He said in an increasingly diversified world, the world should not only rely on a single currency.

Redrado says the position of the US dollar has been weakened by the financial crisis, and the world needs to find another option. Redrado says he will support the proposal at the upcoming G-20 meeting. Russia, Brazil, Indonesia and Venezuela have also expressed support for the proposal by Chinese central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan.
