On April the 1st, China's railway network will have a new operating schedule. It means more choices for passengers during this year's Tomb Sweeping Day, which falls on April 4th.
Mr. Sui, one traveller said "I want to bring my whole family out for a holiday tour. The new railway schedule also enables me more flexibility in arranging my tours."
This year's Qingming Festival is the first of its kind since the start of cross-strait direct flights. It sees an increasing number of Taiwan residents visiting the mainland.
One Taiwan tourist said "It only takes me about two to three hours to come to the mainland. Many people in Taiwan are also planning to come back to worship their ancestors."
One Taiwan tourist said "It's very convenient now to travel back and forth. I believe more and more people will visit the mainland."
With the approach of the festival, more and more people from Taiwan and Hong Kong are visiting mainland to worship their ancestors. Figures from Shenzhen border checkpoints predict that this year's Tomb Sweeping Day will see over 1.7 million inbound and outbound journeys made in the city.
