Chen Deming, Minister of Commerce said "Because of the global financial crisis, countries' industrial and agricultural products have been hard hit. A country should be allowed to adopt trade protection for certain period of time and to a certain degree. But it should be limited. It cannot be called trade protectionism. But if it is overly abused and closed off it is trade protectionism."
