The Health Minister, Chen Zhu, said at the ongoing CPPCC session that the country will improve medical insurance systems and services to ensure both quality and efficiency in the healthcare sector.

New cooperative medical systems in rural areas, expansions to urban community health services and public health will be the top priorities for the investment. The country will also tighten control and supervision over medical institutions.
