The auditor general of the National Audit Office has denied any misuse of disaster relief goods sent in response to the Sichuan Earthquake last May. Liu Jiayi also said rebuilding was going smoothly.

He revealed that the national office has employed 12 thousand auditors to track the management and distribution of funds and relief goods among 30 thousand departments and offices all involved in rebuilding the quake-damaged areas.

Liu Jiayi stressed that audit results were satisfactory and that overall management has been fair,transparent and up to relevant standards.

Liu Jiayi says his office is committed to supervise the entire process of rebuilding the quake zone, and will stay alert to any irregularities that violate the law.
