This brick-making factory is the first company located in Shifang. It is partnering with Beijing in disaster relief and reconstruction work. The company has used the rubble and construction waste from the quake and turned them into bricks.

Li Yi, general manager of Beijing Green Use Environ. Protection & Tech, says, "we consumed around 3,000 tons of rubbish each day, making about 200 thousand bricks."

Builders from Beijing have not only helped Shifang City build schools and residences, but also helped set up an industrial park there.

Hao Dali, official of Aid Directing Bureau of Beijing, says, "six companies from Beijing have signed cooperation deals with the local government. The investment will be around 4 billion yuan. "

In other cities of Sichuan Province, supporters are also helping local companies resume production. Hebei Province which is due to support Pingwu County has set up a special fund with 100 million yuan to help local firms get loans.

Zhang Pingjun, general director of Aid Directing Bureau of Hebei Province, says, "the companies have already gotten more than 40 million yuan of loans."

At present, 18 sponsor provinces and municipalities have built up 12 industrial parks in Sichuan Province. More than ten companies have moved there by the end of January.
