The Ministry announced on Monday that China will treat domestic and foreign products equally. And all countries should support international trade. The Ministry noted that no nation is able to meet all its own demands with its own products only.

Figures show that nearly 20 percent of the Chinese market relies on overseas supplies. And the country still needs to import a huge amount of wheat and soybeans from the US, Canada, and Australia to meet domestic demand.

Jiang Zengwei, Vice Minister of MOFCOM said "Every country should support international trade, or support large amount of commodity circulation. This is one of the best ways for each nation to meet consumer demand. I don't think China will implement 'BuyChina'. As long as there is demand, we will treat domestic and foreign products the same way."
