Shanghai's first job fair after the Spring Festival has opened. The event attracted not only thousands of job hunters, but also more than 900 employers.

The early bird gets the worm. By early morning, the 80,000-seat stadium was packed with job seekers -- most of them will graduate from college this year.

One college student said "It's not easy to find a job. Many positions require work experience."

But some job hunters say there are still a lot of opportunities. This job seeker has just passed an interview, even though he is a new comer to the city.

One job seeker said "I feel it's not difficult to get a job in Shanghai. Migrant workers could meet some employers' requirements."

Some job seekers say they have to adjust their expectations, as the current economic situation is not positive.

One job seeker said "Every industry is affected by the global downturn. Employment information and policies provided by the government are key for job hunters."

The fair's organizer says there are more employers offering positions than they expected. This suggests the government's macro-economic policies and other measures have taken effect. It also indicates companies are confident of an economic recovery.
