The Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine will further facilitate foreign trade and help companies strengthen capabilities in safety and risk-control. The eight measures include gradual establishment of an adjustment mechanism on the export catalogue. Special support will be given to labor-intensive products. The government will also enlarge the scope of exemption of export commodities from inspection. Relevant departments will also team up to carry out training on products safety and enhance companies'abilities to deal with trade barriers.

Wang Yong, director of AQSIQ, says, "the two departments will intensify communication and information exchanges, as well as cooperation. The eight measures will help improve our work efficiency and provide better services for both importers and exporters."

Meanwhile, the Commerce Minister hopes more industries will enjoy tax rebates in the future.

Chen Deming, Commerce Minister, says, "we will consider including more exporters who enjoy increased tax rebates. But this will depend on different situations and according to our abilities. What's more important right now is to improve trade facilitation."

The State Council on Wednesday approved plans to provide support to the country's machinery and textile industries. The plans include increasing export rebates for textile producers and supporting technological upgrades for machinery makers.
