Meanwhile on the sidelines of the CPPCC session, delegates and members from the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions have praised the policy of "one country two systems".
They say it's bought vigor to economic development, and are anticipating even closer ties with the Chinese mainland. Hong Kong has maintained its number one position as the world's free-est economy.
And tourism in the SAR has also gotten a boost, with more than 20 million individual visits from the mainland. And it's been an even more rosy picture for Macao.
The region had posted negative GDP growth figures for 4 straight years before finally returning positive figures after returning to China.
