To ensure that things go as they should, the state quality watchdog is inspecting certain categories traditionally consumed over the Spring Festival such as sausage, and yoghurt products.

And findings have been fairly encouraging with 99.8 percent of sausages, and close to 94% of yoghurt on the market meeting required standards.

But experts are warning consumers to do their bit to maintain quality after purchase, such as keeping these products in air-tight or refrigerated conditions.
