Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang has been promoting Hong Kong's unique role as a key link between the pan-pearl river delta region and Asean countries. At the Pan-PRD forum in Hunan province over the weekend, he also said the region's economic stability relys on its currency peg with the US dollar.

It is the second time that the Pan-PRD forum has included the dialogue between regional chief and officials of commerce from Asean countries. Hong Kong chief executive, Donald Tsang, said at the forum that Hong Kong has made advances in possessing comprehensive Internet affiliations. Over 38-hundred enterprises from the mainland and abroad set up headquarters or offices in Hong Kong last year. He said Hong Kong plays an unique role as the bridge for the cooperation between Pan-PRD region and Asean countries.
