China is issuing 30 billion yuan, or 3.9 billion US dollars worth of "book-entry" treasury bonds on today (Thursday).

The thirty-year T-bonds are not issued with paper certificates and carry an annual interest rate of 4.27 percent, and will be sold via the national inter-bank bond market and stock markets.

The issue date will be between May 17 and May 22, and the bonds will be tradable from May 28. This is the sixth batch of book-entry T-bonds issued by the MOF this year. Under its influence, the yields of mid-and long-term bonds are expected to be re-evaluated by the bond market.
