The value of the Chinese yuan against the US dollar has hit a new record for the fourth straight day.

On Thursday the Central Bank set a central parity rate of 7.7758 yuan to the dollar, compared to 7.7798. On Wednesday's exchange rate also marked a new high of 0.99698 yuan to the Hong Kong dollar, with the value of the RMB overtaking HK dollars on Monday.
