Many people take the opportunity of the week long Spring Festival holidays on go on their annual vacation.

And more than ever this year, more Chinese tourists are expected packing their bags to go abroad.

Although the Spring Festival is still a month away, many people have already finalised their travel plans. Major travel agencies are now busy taking bookings for overseas packages.

So far, China's approved overseas travel network covers 86 destinations around the world. Many big travel agencies have added more travel routes this year. However, nearly half of the 86 travel destinations are not available for group travel packages.

Lin Kang, manager of head office in China Travel Service said: “Many destinations in Africa and South America are not available now. Because they are lack of direct flights and the visa process is too long.”

As for those popular package routes, various certificates and paperwork required also bothered many travellers.

A traveller said:“ I think some of the information required involves my personal privacy.”

Experts say with air routes increasing and cost lowering, some travel destinations without group packages now will be available.

Problems like complicated paperwork will be eased as more people travelling overseas. For example, Russia has already offer visa-free treatment to Chinese tourists.
