BEIJING, Nov. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- Hotel room rates in Tibet have dropped from 30 to 60 percent in the current winter tourism season, according to Lhasa Evening News.

Since November began, the occupancy rate of hotels in Nyingchi Prefecture has stayed at 60 percent, and that of hotels in other places has been ranged from 30 to 40 percent.

With the adjustment of hotel room rates, costs of winter tours in Tibet have dropped accordingly. A tourism worker said that prices for various tour routes from Lhasa to Nyingchi and Lhasa to Xigaze have been cut by 30 to 40 percent.
