BEIJING, Aug. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- A real estate exhibition during the Shoton Festival opened Thursday afternoon in the Zongjiao Lukang Park, Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
The 2009 Lhasa Shoton Festival opened Thursday on the Potala Palace Square and will last for seven days. During the event, Buddha Thangka unfolding ceremonies, horse racing festivals and art performances will be held.

The exhibition was attended by 36 real estate developers from Tibet and other parts of China.
At the opening ceremony, Chen Zhichang, executive vice-mayor of Lhasa, said that the real estate sector in Lhasa has shown a sound and rapid development momentum.
He added, "I am sure that the exhibition will boost the healthy development of Lhasa's real estate sector and provide opportunities for Sichuan and Tibet to enhance their cooperation in the real estate sector."
