Nimar Tsering, head of the Tibetan Mountaineering Team, said the annual mountaineering gathering has made full use of the abundant mountaineering resources in Tibet. The meeting also chooses mountains at a relatively low altitude and degree of difficulty, in order to offer a platform to mountaineering fans to learn and try out.
Qizi Peak, Jangsunglhomo Peak and the central peak of the Nyenchen Tonglha Moutains were among those conquered by the mountaineering team.
Many mountaineering fans continue to scale higher mountains via the platform and all the amateur mountaineers who ascended to the top of Mt. Qomolangma had attended the mountaineering meeting, said Nimar Tsering.
