Special Report: Tech MaxThe impact of the iPhone on the entire mobile phone market is nothing short of a revolution. An auctioneer is claiming that the two iPhones he put up for sale on eBay are prototypes, which were manufactured in early 2007.
One of the two mobile phones is operational, and functions on a system called OS 03.06.01_G, a version invented earlier than the systems we see now. The functions and interface of the mobile phone are extremely different from the official version. Its functions are not complete and the testing functions pop up from time to time. This model is believed to be just a Beta period engineering sample, rather than a true prototype.
