SECRET SMILES

China Radio International: I have another question for Mr. Zhang Yimou. There's an activity on the smiling faces collection. I wonder if it doesn't relate to secrets, how's this activity doing now? How will it be used in the opening or closing ceremonies?

Zhang Yimou: We have collected children's smiling faces from all over the world. We have got a great many of them. I cannot help looking at them once every few days. I have a feeling that when you look at the smiling faces one by one, they'll touch you much. Different children with different skin colors have one thing in common: they all smile quite radiantly.

I can disclose one small detail. The smiling face performance will be put on at the end of the art performance. We'll display to the world thousands of smiling faces from all corners in a special instant. I believe that instant will be very touching. Because we all hope that mankind will have a better future and that our world will have a bright future. Thanks!
