"Academic campus cat" is "listening to a class." The students in class all smiled heartily as they watched a photographer take photos of the "academic campus cat." Recently, a cat that often "attends classes" at Peking University has become popular online. Netizens have sent its photos to various major websites and dubbed this cat the "academic campus cat" of Peking University.

Recently, a cat that often "attends classes" at Peking University has become popular online. Netizens have sent its photos to various major websites and dubbed this cat the "academic campus cat" of Peking University.

On September 25, a netizen named "old hooligan at Peking University" wrote a post titled "A cat deserving respect at Peking University" at bbs.pku.edu.cn: an elderly cat often appears in classes at Peking University and "listens to the class" with students. It sometimes climbs up on the platform to act as a teacher, and sometimes lies on a desk to become a student, all the while carefully "listening to the class."

Replies from netizens at bbs.pku.edu.cn show that this vagrant "academic campus cat" with a broken tail "enrolled" at Peking University as early as 2004. It often stays in the classrooms and likes to gaze at people for a long time. Its favorite courses are philosophy and art, and it even slightly shook its head when a teacher talked about the transcendentalist view of nature held by Henry David Thoreau.
