From early July to late August, 400 types of lotus on land and on the 2,000-mu water surface will be in blossom to welcome tourists. The management office of the Yuanmingyuan Park told reporters on June 27 that Jianbi Pavilion, a famous scenic spot, will be lit up for the first time during the festival, and the park will extend its opening hours to 9:30pm, so that tourists can appreciate the lotus flower over their evening tea. The admission is only five yuan in the evening.

The management office of the Yuanmingyuan Park said on June 27 that the park has over 100,000 square meters of lotus growing across the 2,000-mu water surface, as well as over 400 types of fine lotus on land. Reporters learned that the Yuanmingyuan Park has the largest area for lotus growing in Beijing.
