Wolrd´s tallest building opens in Dubai

Crowning glory or last hurrah? Dubai has opened the world´s tallest structure in a glitzy ceremony to put a brave face on its crushing debt woes. Emaar properties, developers of the tower - originally called Burj Dubai - as Burj Khalifa in honour of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahayan, the president of the United Arab Emirates - say the building delivers a new message: hope for the future.
