Premier Wen Jiabao has returned to Beijing after attending the forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Egypt. Earlier on Sunday, the Premier outlined new proposals to deepen cooperation with the continent. He said China´s goal was to help African countries build up their capacity for self-development.
The 4th Ministerial Conference of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum wrapped up in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh. At the conclusion of the event, both sides are pledging closer political, social and economic ties.
The Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Rachid Mohamed Rachid said his country supports China´s role in Africa as it serves the interests of all parties, rejecting the claim that China makes unequal initiatives.
Promoting African-Chinese cooperation is essential for the interest of both sides, Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Nazef said here Saturday.
