Recently, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) issued a circular on the start of "Thunderstorm" and "Skynet" IPR enforcement campaigns. The circular also announced the special plan of the IPR law enforcement actions.

The circular clearly states the main tasks of the two campaigns. The "Thunderstorm Campaign" is to combat IPR infringement and counterfeiting, especially the acts of malicious, collective and repeated infringement, counterfeiting or imitation of patents, while the "Skynet Campaign" is aimed at the patent frauds.

The action plan requires all related department to strengthen leadership, make careful planning, intensify coordination, expand publicity and reinforce supervision.

The campaigns will be carried out from March to November. The SIPO will make sum-up and commendation in December.
