Special Report:   Cultural Heritage Day

With the second Cultural Heritage Festival approaching, Guangxi Symposium on Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Protection was held on the morning of June 7 in Nanning, capital city of Guangxi province.

Famous experts and scholars were invited to attend the symposium, to hold discussions on topics like history and current situation of ICH, ICH protection, succession and utilization, etc..

The People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has attached great importance to the ICH protection issue and released the list of first batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage.

So far, there are 19 items of national intangible cultural heritage and 58 items at provincial level and an ICH protection center has been established.
