The Thai monarch , no ordinary king
Thailand has recently treated the world to a splendid show, in honor of their beloved King. King Bhumibol Adulyadej has been on the throne for sixty years, and is the world´s longest-reigning monarch. He is known for his work with the poor, and for helping the country out of political crises.
Thai Princess interview
Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, is the third child of Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej. She is also the king´s personal secretary. She began to accompany her father on visits to remote areas when she was 16, and now often represents her father at various royal functions.

Thailand´s Phi Phi Island is a tropical paradise. On December 26, 2004, much of Phi Phi was devastated by the Indian Ocean tsunami. 850 people died, and 1,200 are still missing. Over a hundred children lost one or both of their parents.
Thailand’s elephants
Nothing says "Thailand" more than the elephant. But now their numbers are limited to about 2,600. They work in everything from transport to massage and even art.
