Students enjoy Expo boost

Hundreds of students in Shanghai's Luwan District yesterday attended an Expo lecture, part of the organizer's promotional efforts involving local primary and middle schools.

Huang Yaocheng, counselor for national participation with the  Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, presents  Expo-themed books.

In the lecure, Yu Li, the assistant director of the Communication and Promotion Department of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, delivered an update on World Expo 2010. He also gave some basic facts about world expositions.

Similar lectures will be organized by the Shanghai Students' Post under the guidance of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination.

The organizer hopes to raise the awareness of Expo 2010 among local students by a series of promotional events in the run-up to the Expo such as Expo knowledge competitions.
