For 17 days, the world's finest athletes will compete in Beijing. For 17 days, the Chinese capital will celebrate as never before. For 17 days, we will bring you the action around the venues. Join us this August on CCTV-9.
Welcome to CCTV-9 special Beijing Olympics show "17 days".
From August 8th, each day includes seven and a half hours of live shows, broadcast at 7am-8:30am, 11am-1:30pm and 8pm-11pm Beijing time.
CCTV-9 is not authorized to broadcast live Olympic events since the rights only extend to the Chinese mainland. But you can still enjoy a selection of news, information, features, interviews and entertainment programs on the Olympics in "17 days."
You can join top personalities from CCTV and special guest commentators, as they round up the previous day's Olympic action, and preview upcoming events. They'll tell you what's happening, introduce the athletes, present the latest news and weather updates, guide you through the Olympic venues, and show the most interesting stories about Beijing and the Summer Olympic Games.
They'll also talk to the people on the spot - the medallists, the favorites, the pundits, and the fans.
Besides CCTV-9 main studio, another one overlooking the Bird's Nest stadium, and three studios in co-host cities Qingdao and Shanghai, Hong Kong's TVB will also join in the program.
Please tune in to CCTV-9 "17 days".
