China's Ministry of Health has reported a suspected case of A/H1N1 flu in Shandong Province. |
This is the second such case on the mainland. It involves a man who travelled from Canada, and arrived in Beijing on Flight AC-029 on May the 8th. The man traveled to Jinan, the capital of Shandong, by Train D-41 on May the 11th. Health authorities in Shandong have conducted tests on virus specimens taken from the patient. And these show the man is "suspected positive" of carrying the A/H1N1 virus. The patient has already been isolated and is receiving treatment.
The Ministry of Health is asking all passengers on flight AC-029 and train service D-41 to get in touch with local health authorities as soon as possible.
