Gordon Brown says Britain is willing to further strengthen cooperation with China, while also expanding bilateral trade. He also says the UK hopes to boost bilateral cooperation in coping with climate change. Brown added that the two countries should work together to boost reform of international financial institutions and revive the global economy.
Wang Qishan said the China-UK Economic and Financial Dialogue that ended earlier this week had been a complete success. He adds that since the start of the financial crisis last year, the Chinese government has launched a series of effective measures.
China's vice premier says efforts should be made to transfer the confidence of politicians to the credit needed to restore markets through government operations, and thus speed up economic growth.
