Confirmed H1N1 cases rise to 100 in Spain: health minister

Special Report: World tackles A/H1N1 fluMADRID, May 12 (Xinhua) -- The number of human cases of influenza A/H1N1 in Spain has risen to 100 after two new cases had been confirmed, a health official said Tuesday.
The two cases were respectively reported in Andalucia and Valencia, Spanish Health Minister Trinidad Jimenez said.
The number of possible cases in the country reached 23, he said.
According to the Health Ministry, Valencia has 15 confirmed cases, the highest in Spain, followed by Catalonia with five, Andalucia with two and Madrid with one.
Most of the confirmed cases had recently been in Mexico, while 22 others were infected in Spain, the ministry said.
None of the patients are hospitalized since they showed light symptoms and had good responses to medical treatment, it added.
