SANAA, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Two Yemenis were killed when their training airplane crashed in east of Sudan due to technical failure, the Yemen News Agency SABA reported Monday.
After refueling from an airport in Port Sudan, the plane crashed 70 km northwest of the city late Sunday, killing the two crew, captain Alanaami Ali Abdullah and deputy captain Abdul Hafeez Salih Sabbahi, the report said.
The aircraft was flying from the southern Egyptian resort of Luxor across the Red Sea to Yemen, the report cited Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority spokesman Abdelhafez Abdelrahim as saying.
The spokesman said a special committee will be formed to head for Sudan to find out the cause of the accident.
