Province, May 8, 2009. The 37-year old Zhao Xiaoqing lost 
her son in the May 12 massive earthquake in southwest China, 
but now she is seven-month pregnant. Her son would be 13 years 
old if he were alive this year. Like Zhao Xiaoqing, many 
women carrying kids gathered at Mum's Home to make paper 
roses for the Mother's Day as gifts to the people who 
helped them during hard times. According to government 
statistics, there are over 6,000 families that lost their 
children in the May 12 earthquake and have the intention 
to raise another one, but the aftershocks, the pain of 
losing relatives and their ages are major obstacles.
