Before leaving Bihar's capital Patna for an election rally in northern Punjab state, Kumar told reporters that the NDA would come up as the biggest alliance after the polls because a lot of parties would be attracted to the NDA.

He said there is a possibility that the NDA may form the majority, otherwise the NDA may need other allies to form the government. He said the result may not be clear until May 16th. Kumar also put an end to speculation about aligning with the UPA and affirmed that none of Left parties have been in contact with him to form an alliance without the BJP.
